The project involved researching a local event and redesigning its poster. The primary objective was to prioritize typography. I chose “Besame Mucho Fest” due to its uniqueness, as the original poster was overly information-packed. I aimed for a modern pop rock style.

The limited color palette maintains the rock pop style consistency. The playful typefaces for the logo give personality to the poster, representing Latin music culture.
The images represent the diverse music genres and artists the Latin community enjoys at this festival.

Sketches
After completing the research and moldboard, I gained a better perspective on the festival, inspiring me to create the following sketches.
The influence of rock pop at the festival was greater than the other sections of the festival, but I complemented the other genres of music to match the personality and culture of the event.
Using different weights, sizes, typefaces, fonts, to ensure that the sketch was closer to the environment and personality of the festival.

Digital Drafts

Here I had designed the first digital sketches before adding any color to provide a visual look of which style I was going to choose. This helped to see which one works the best for the target audience.
Then I created the first two digital drafts to better understand the color, hierarchy, and placement. This also helped me focus on organizing the content.
Later on after the feedback, I did the 2nd round of digital drafts and here as you can see, I got a better placement, organization. So after I created this I had a feeling that it needed something more.
And finally I did the final deign that it has the right hierarchy and placement. (Scroll down)
